The whole experience was superb! Starting from our first conversation, when Yen took the time to listen at my requirements and ideas. She wasn’t just waiting to speak, but truly listening to what would make an ideal cake to celebrate my son’s 11th birthday under such special circumstances. Yen suggested some ideas and came up with the design. She took the time to explain in detail how it would look&feel. On pickup date, it was absolutely amazing to see her final product. Yen makes the most beautiful and delicious cakes I have ever seen! She is very friendly in contact and make your wishes come true, even if you phone her two days before from The Netherlands for a real Dutch Marzipan weddingcake (marsepein bruidstaart) :-)

My husband and I are expecting our first baby during the pandemic. We decided to have a gender reveal on Zoom so we could celebrate with our families. We were nervous about hiring a cake maker we had never met and could not visit in her place of work, concerned that maybe the cake we recieve would not look as amazing as the images online. We had an initial call with Yen to discuss ideas and she was extremely professional but also friendly and warm. She listened carefully to what we wanted and her final designs far exceeded our expectations - in my opinion the cakes look even better in real life. Despite our guests only being able to see her cake through Zoom they were all blown away with perfection and intricacy of the designs. We went for the smallest size and were unsure if it would be big enough. We shared with our family and neighbours and there was more than enough to go round....we were glad we did not go for a larger size. Yen's cake made this special time in our life even more memorable and happy, worth every penny!

The cake we ordered was on point, beautiful and was it designed just as discussed. Yen was extremely considerate on the pick-up time and the cake was so good, it is now the stuff of legends! Many thanks Yen!

We searched and searched for a Wedding Cake supplier that would do tasters throughout the recent Global Pandemic. A lot of suppliers never got back to us which was especially disappointing given the Aberdeen area. However, Yen Thomson was truly a special find, if you are ever needing someone to do cakes of any kind - she's your woman! Yen doesn't normally do Wedding Cakes, however after hearing our predicament with other suppliers she'd said she would love to help! Not only are her cakes wonderfully appealing to the eyes but they are absolutely delicious! If you haven't already done so, check out her website for some amazingly unique designs and ideas! We gave her our thoughts on what we were looking to incorporate within our cake and she always came back with either exactly what we were looking for or better! Yen, we cannot thank you enough for all the help and effort you put in to designing our wedding cake! Even down to the edible flowers on top. Everything was delicious!
