My tenant called me with the a leaking washing machine. I was concerned for the flat below being damaged so I just did a quick Google search and found John Johnstone. He was very helpful, and attended the next day. All fixed and repaired in no time at all. Highly recommended.

John has now mended our washing machine and dishwasher. He is highly professional, honest and technically excellent. His knowledge, experience and advice are first class. I wouldn't consider using anyone else!

This man is a con man, never to be trusted. The service was absolutely rubbish! was sluggish and a time waster. He wanted money before service, only interested in your money. He changes parts prices like chameleon. Initially, he said parts cost around £25 - £30, only to come back on second visit parts now cost £85. He even damaged my old rubber seal to make it appear that it was badly broken. Never leave him alone with your washing machine and don't trust him. I will never recommend him to any one.

Have always used John to mend our now ancient washing machine, for getting on for 10 years now. Probably 3 or even 4 visits in that time. Always helpful and gives good service at a fair price. He is also one of very few who will come out into rural Aberdeenshire - and will turn up. Not sure about why the other reviewers are so negative as it doesn't sound like the same person at all. Happy to recommend.

Mr Johnston is a bully! Do not be left alone with him, especially if you are a woman. The first time my landlord sent him round to fix the washing machine he was rude, he threw his jacket on my bed complaining there was nowhere for him to hang it, he kept sighing because the property has a narrow kitchen, he made a mess, wiped his stained hands on my clean tea towels, he just wouldn't stop complaining! When I realised that it was him coming to look at the fridge, I put my phone onto record because I just didn't trust him or feel comfortable being alone with him and guess what? It picked up (and my camera) picked up just how rude and angry he is. I don't know if he just hates women in general or if it's just me, but boy does he have a temper! I thanked him for coming and then he played into me about him having to wait 15 mins and that I was wasting his time. I told him I would be in and out with the dog and got home in 2 mins when he called. Not that, that even matters because his behaviour was inappropriate and just plain rude. I'm disabled and really didn't need a man who thinks he can bully a young lassie in my face. So I'm glad I have my camera on the property and that I have a recorder on my phone. But seriously, stay away from him! He is NOT a nice man.
