Location is pretty good for getting into Union Street, the main area of the city centre is around 10 mins walk away. Some rooms are better than others. 1 of our party had a nice large room with 2 comfy chairs, the others had no comfy chairs. The duvets are far too thick for summer weight & really, there should be a lighter weight duvet available in the room ( just like they have spare pillows). Check-in begins at 3pm, it was a disaster. One member of staff on the desk & at least 50 people all wanting to check in. The wouldn't start before 3pm, because you had to pay £10 for early check-in, so the reception area was simply crammed full of people (it's not a huge area either). You could wait in the bar, but don't expect a drink because it's the reception staff who work in the bar too. The self check-in machines didn't seem to be working either, which didn't help. All this place needs is a few more staff and a tweak here and there to be a really good hotel for a decent price. I would use it again.
