Barry is a fantastic teacher and so patient with the kids. he knows how to get the best out of them, while also making it fun and having a laugh! can't recommend him and the rest of the tutors music lessons enough.

Barry has been teaching myself, my son and my daughter for a year or so now through a mix of one to one and online lessons and he has done an outstanding job! my son and daughter and preparing for their grade exams in electric guitar and drums while barry is teaching me a wide range of skills including drums, bass, music theory and production! whatever your skill level or ambition, barry has the expertise, knowledge and most importantly the patience to get you there. he is fantastic at keeping the kids engaged, making the sessions fun as well as focussed. so if you are starting out, are already well on your journey or just want to improve something you love doing, then barry and one lad music can help!

I started working with barry in january and he has been so helpful with helping me decide on a direction i would like to take my music career. not only with the wealth of knowledge that he has from working as a musician, teacher an business owner, but also with helping me see my vision and follow through with what i want. it helps that we have great craic on our calls too. always leave the session in a great mood and feeling very motivated. thanks for your help barry!

I have recently undertaken a course with barry to help me work out the kinks in my music tuition business. on top of the top notch course work barry has been at hand any time of the day to answer questions big and small. very highly recommended!

Barry was my mentor through minding creative minds. i found the sessions with barry really helpful as in each one we focused on different challenges i’m facing at the moment getting established in the arts and he gave me advice and tools for how to best balance everything with clear notes and follow ups in between sessions. barry was really friendly, encouraging and pushed me to think big in terms of my future career goals.
