The Marcliffe Hotel and Spa

This was truly a 5 star experience! From the service, to the food (definitely the best meal we had in Scotland!), the staff - it was all top notch! Great for couples, golfers, etc! Hope to return in near future!

Lovely service, nice rooms and a really nice food experience. Also a great location for golf trips to Aberdeen, playing Trump, Royal Aberdeen, Murcar Links, Cruden Bay and up to Old Moray Golf Club.

We were at a funeral tea and the staff had their work cut out as people were arriving at all different times. The staff were attentive and helpful but unfortunately my tea was luke warm. However my second cup was much better. It must be difficult to accommodate people when they are moving about catching up etc. and knowing who has been served.

We went to Marcliffe to celebrate 🍾 my daughters Masters graduation. From entering to leaving, everything was spot on. We didn't stay at the hotel, so we cannot comment on the rooms. Our meal was in the conservatory restaurant. The food was outstanding, as was the service. My daughter and her partner had the graduation menu, a nice touch; a set price menu, which had plenty of choice and included a glass of champagne 🍾 coffee and chocolates. We all had cocktails, wine or beer, all beautifully served. I was pleasantly surprised when the bill arrived. For a 5 star establishment, it was far less than I was expecting, A fitting conclusion to a very special day. Highly recommended the next time I'm in Aberdeen I will definitely go again.

The Marcliffe is a class act set in lovely grounds with very pleasant rooms. The beds are particularly comfortable with beautiful bedding to accompany the luxurious feel. The restaurant was lovely with superbly cooked and presented food. The breakfasts were also very good with a large choice. The staff were excellent - very attentive and friendly, in particular Jessica on reception - she offered me a lovely office space to work in without fuss. Highly recommended.
