Fantastic food and service, so friendly with helpful recommendations. we ordered too much food but it was so worth it, everything was delicious, will definitely be making a return visit.

Not having visited for over a decade, i was excited to try mela again. what can i say? it has instantly become my indian restaurant of choice. absolutely outstanding dining experience. yes it is about the food, which was exquisite, but also the service and the "vibe". vibe in a restaurant is something you can't quite put your finger on, you can't always explain why it is there, but it is. like a noisy italian restaurant has a "buzz", very similar. mela has this in spades, which makes the place joyful. mustn't forget the food. i chose to start with some chicken tikka. it was moist and delicious, with great attention to detail - the side salad was dressed and interesting and i finished it all as it was so good! my main was the mela "special" massala with chicken, rich, creamy, quite sweet, and served in a lovely copper bucket, and was absolutely amazing. i will be back very soon.
