hopeless online customer service - impossible to get an answer and they only respond to the questions they allow you to ask. A mystery why they are still in business

The guy with ginger hair who seems to loiter around the trainers section snatches the shoe you want in your size when you give it to him and doesn’t say a word. Always on his walkie talkie. Generally unhelpful staff

Waited 15 mins to be served in the trainer section, no help from any of the staff, so left without making any purchase.

I’ve popped in here a couple of times recently as thinking about buying a few bits but unsure yet. The staff seemed very friendly and polite and the store was very tidy. Some of these sports direct stores can look a bit like you’ve just turned up at a jumble sale but I have to say they’re getting better. Plenty of parking outside but be aware you get two hours free, then you have to pay so make sure you pop your registration into the parking screen tin check and pay anything owed if you’ve gone over 2 hrs!

If I could give zero stars I would! Second bad experience. Last time spent half an hour asking for Astro boots in a 3.5 to finally be told they don’t sell half sizes! Today purchased a basketball which was in a big box with a sign saying £5.50 each or 2 for £9.00. Get to the checkout and I’m charged £14.95. Query this and get told it might have been put in the wrong place. Argue this as there was multiple other balls the same size in the box. If not in the deal, why are they not individually priced. The girl on checkout radios to Stephen who was as helpful as a chocolate teapot and said that they can’t be held responsible if customers move stuff around. It was 09:30 so they hadn’t been open long. Spoke to the chocolate tea pot aka Stephen and said there were others and he used the example of shoes being left lying around and not being out in place. Felt reassured (not) that he was going to go and remove the basketballs from the box. Just awful and will absolutely never return. It’s all a ploy to make more money and they certainly won’t be getting anymore money from me.
