Very tranquil country house hotel. We stayed Thursday to Saturday in July and there were very few guests. So nice and quiet, relaxing in large, palatial drawing rooms. Excellent dinner, 3 courses for £79 pp, and breakfast is very good. Lovely walks around the grounds. We stayed in room 20 in the roof. Near a clunky lift but as the hotel was not busy, it wasn't used late at night so we didn't get woken up.
