Istanbul Kitchen and Bar

Nice food but its at the edge of town and the atmosphere is not very good all you can here is people chatting and it goes into one dull drone , theres no ambience , the tables near the toilets are a pain as people are in and out to the loo and they leave the doors open and theres a cold draught , it would be better with a moveable partition as theres nothing worse that people in and out to toilet whilst your eating

We come here a few times every month for three simple reasons: Superb food, fantastic service and great value for money. The team at Istanbul always go out of their way to make us feel so welcome, and the quality of the food, wine and service are always absolutely faultless. I’ve lived in Barnsley all my life, and I’ve eaten in almost every restaurant in Barnsley (including the posh ones on the outskirts of Barnsley), and I would say that in my opinion this is without a doubt the best restaurant in Barnsley. If you live in Barnsley, or you are visiting Barnsley, then the Istanbul restaurant really should be on your list to try; I promise you won’t be disappointed!

1st time visiting for a birthday party. Staff were really pleasant and polite making us all feel welcome. Played happy birthday for our guest which was a nice touch. The food was excellent really authentic, very tasty, delivered at a comfortable pace, excellent quality and very filling. Will definitely be visiting again to try more dishes from the extensive menu.
