Locke Park

Attended the Classic Car show on Sunday 11th June 2023.

A lovely park with a cafe, bandstand, MUGA, bowling club and tower dating to the later 19th century. Great for dogs. Cafe serves dog ice cream as well as human ice cream. The staff are friendly and polite! They also host the local park run on a weekend. The last time I visited there was a travelling fair with lots of rides, so also a likely venue for touring events.

Lovely park, even in a rainy day. Did parkrun this morning, very friendly people. Park was nice and clean. Public toilets outside cafe. Lovely cafe too. Hope everyone helps to look after it!

Another top tarn park, very well kept and very little litter though the occasional dog offering left by non caring owners. Good play area for the kids and a decent cafe.

Nice large park in the centre of Barnsley. Well kept with a decent cafe and nice play area. Band stand, folly and a few statues if you like things like that. Wooded and open areas.
