Bumblebugs Photography

Kathryn is a lovely lady who makes your photo experience relaxed and enjoyable. nothing is too much hassle for her and she will always to and accommodate your needs plus the bonus of offering affordable photos to treasure.

We booked in at bumblebugs photography just before christmas for a new born photo shoot. kat was very kind and patient with our son which showed in the beautiful photos we got from the session. we were really impressed with the range of props and backgrounds we had to choose from as well. we loved all the photos so much we ordered the full set and a usb which came beautifully presented in a personalised wooden box. we also ordered some extra prints for grandparents who were over the moon with them. we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend bumblebugs and will hopefully be back for some more photos as our little boy grows up.

We’ve had two photoshoots with kat in the last year, 1 for a newborn shoot with our first born and the second when he was 7 months old in the park. wonderful photos both times of the 3 of us capturing some very special moments. kat is great as a photographer, not only taking perfect photos but is also great to talk to during the shoots, easy to communicate with and really good fun :)

As a first time mum i wanted the best to capture my baby, seeing kat had won the yorkshire award made me book her & recommendations from friends. she was great with charlotte, made her feel very comfortable and us too when there was ‘accidents’ on the props and took thousands of photos. in total we paid almost £500 for the premium package (photos printed, usb stick and a personalised box). to get the photos back digitally with the copyright logo over them was 11 days and i was slightly disappointed with how little photos there was compared to how long we were there and how many was taken, and only one or two of charlotte smiling. i was told 2 weeks for the box to be delivered so asked for the prints to come first on thursday the 20th of july, and was told they’d be sent to print on monday and be with me by the end of the week. i didn’t receive confirmation theyd been printed so messaged on the 25th to get left on read. i messaged again the 1st of august to be told they hadn’t been ordered yet and kat apologised and they arrived on the 4th. i’ve messaged regarding the box & usb to no response yet - but i do understand she has her own family however this should have been delivered at least a week ago. overall i’m really disappointed and almost regret spending so much money on this, £500 is a lot of money to anyone but especially since that will be one months wage in a few weeks time for me. i haven’t even opened the pack of photos as it’s been that long that it makes me sad to think she was that small and isn’t no more (hormones eh?) and that we haven’t been able to give family & friends prints they wanted from the usb or see the lovely wooden box that we paid for. kats friendliness was great but the admin side of things really has let this entire experience down, an experience that i should look back on and think of fondly.

The most wonderful photographer!! she has captured my family grow from maternity shoot, newborn shoot, family photoshoot and newborn again!! thank you so much kat. your gorgeous photos are hung all around my home and my families. kat is amazing, so patient and produces beautiful photographs to treasure forever 🥰
