The Old No 7

The original proper beer bar in Barnsley. A lovely oldy worldly building, boasts a very diverse selection of modern beers to Trappist ales and everything in-between. I have been a patron for 2 decades and the staff throughout the time have been of an extremely high calibre. If you appreciate fine drink then this is a great place to start in Barnsley. It's affordable too, and a favourite with everyone looking for a quiet pint. Cellar is also a music venue that hosts gigs of all kinds.

The beer is good and the pork pies are second to non. The staff are friendly and welcoming. See you all again soon Regards Mark and Claire

Clean friendly pub. Group of guys playing violins etc, great atmosphere

Really friendly/welcoming staff, quality selection of beers and good indie/rock playlists. They have a huge selection of beers and I've never had a bad pint there. The only bar I've been to since moving to Barnsley that I genuinely enjoy. If they had a TV for the football, I'd never leave the place.

Great traditional pub, wonderfully atmospheric old building, very friendly place with 7 or 8 cask ales at decent prices, great staff a good bunch of regulars and some great music! No food, unfortunately. Highly recommended 5*++
