Smithies Lane Household Waste Recycling Centre

Busy due to covid restrictions only allow 3 cars in at a time & 1 person up the ramp at a time.........so expect 30-40 minute waiting time.

I have been using this site for over 20 years, and in all that time i have never had a bad experience. These guys are great, always willing to help, friendly , courteous ( especially Dennis) and efficient. The site is kept clean and organised and orderly. Even though I have moved a little further out of town , and have another site a little nearer to me, I continue to use Smithies because I know I will get a warm welcome and a smile....this means a lot. Thanks guys for the great service.

Helpful and friendly even helped older ones unload car which is above and beyond

I am disabled and use a wheelchair so I need a bit more help than other people but every time i go to the tip l'm greated with help from the guys working there, always happy to help if required

You have some great staff & couple grumpy gits. Why the don’t allow old plaster boards is beyond me, you can see why some trades would fly tip.
