Big Sky is a fantastic studio situated in the centre of Barnsley with an easy-to-access location, just a couple of minutes from the M1, or an even shorter walk from the train and bus station. The room is big and allows both recording a rehearsing for bands of most sizes, providing your not an orchestra. Jake and Josh have gone to great lengths to treat the room, and with the isolation between the performance space and studio, it makes the perfect environment to get some serious studio work down. Everything is on one floor, so there is no need to break out the forklift for a big cabinet. And with the tuition rooms just across the hall, theres always a place to improve your abilities, regardless of your skill level. Prices are amazingly low, considering that not only is the gear phenomenal, but they don't only record, mix and master your songs; they give the whole label package of artwork, photoshoots, CD sleeves, printing and promotional materials, as well as load more on request. Very few places in the country offer these services in a single space, and even less at this kind of price. The owners Jake and Josh have been friends of mine for years, so I obviously don't have a bad word to say about them, but irrespective of our friendship, these guys know what to do when it comes to taking music to the next level. They have done it themselves in Hitomi, and have helped numerous other bands do so too. Don't take my word for it, go there and see for yourself!
