Harvester Five Bells Vange Basildon

We had a lovely meal here. Was impressed with the food after having some negative experiences at other harvesters. The service was friendly and efficient. Our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Refillable soft drinks is always plus. Thoroughly enjoyed and will go back.

The Harvester Five Bells is a lovely friendly pub, the staff are always super helpful and polite, and the food is cook freshly for you.

Barbara was a brilliant waitress to us, both her and the bearded gent are a credit to the restaurant. Such a happy and welcoming vibe. I love how family friendly this place is, you don’t feel judged bringing your little terrors to this restaurant. Food is good value for money.

This is our local harvester and consistently it is the best one I have been too across Kent/ Essex. I usually have salmon and partner sirloin and 4/5 times my salmon is cooked beautifully with a crisp skin, and soft and succulent inside. Steak can be more gristly than you would expect for £20. Service is always great and prompt and on the last couple of occasions when asking to be seated at a different table this has been accommodated. Salad bar is well stocked and fresh. Really liking the new editions of beans and pulses. We will continue to come here as a quick and easy dinner option. 🙂

If you're looking for good pub grub this is definitely the place for you! The burgers are far and away better than places like fire jacks and the service is fast and efficient. The server's are friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and are constantly on hand for drinks etc. There is a well stacked self service salad bar with a good selection of food. Your food arrives hot and well cooked and in a timely fashion. The portion size is fair and none of us had room for dessert. If you're a none meat eater there's also a small selection for you. There's also a decent kid's menu. There is disabled parking and wide doors for wheelchair access. There's loads of outside seating for the warmer day's and evenings Overall I will definitely be returning here and would recommend this place to anyone.
