Patisserie Valerie - Basingstoke

Sat for over half an hour after ordering food and drinks 3 times. Tried to cancel order but was told as it was a voucher and had already been put through, a refund wasn’t possible. I was then told there was a 35-40 min delay. The restaurant wasn’t busy so not sure what the issue was. When the food came it looked terrible. Really thick cheep spread on the sandwich. I wouldn’t recommend anyone bothered to spend money here. Service was terrible.

We were there on this Tuesday (December 6) late afternoon, the waitress (young lady blond hair with a pony tail) was super rude to us. Not only she sounded like she hated us when we order, but also when she brought up the cake, she purposefully took 1 fork and 3 knives out (instead of 2 and 2) and even throw it to our table! Please, train your employee to be at least tolerable, thank you!

Visited here today as we had a buyagift voucher to use. We had a lunch offer for two which included a light bite so we picked a chicken and bacon baguette each, a pot of tea each and a slice of cake. Felt relaxed, didn't feel rushed to leave. Was put in the booth at the back to help accommodate our buggy which not alot of places do. Food was exceptional! Not just this, the service was fab. Kaz served us, guessing management and he was nothing but polite, friendly and accommodating. Even though we got there and it was busy he made us feel at ease. Thanks Kaz and team, keep up the good work x

unfortunately a really bad experience. from ordering, it took 25 minutes for me to receive my flat white. it was way too frothy, the coffee tasted burned/over extracted, and it was 20p more than a latte but they both had the same espresso shots in.

The cakes were tasty (as usual), but they seem to be critically understaffed. The cakes came after 5 minutes, the tea cake after 10 and the drinks a few minutes after that and it wasn't particularly busy. Only negative taste wise was the raspberry and coconut latte which was just too sickly sweet.
