Mercury Driving School

My 17 year old son passed his test yesterday with zero driver faults! To say I am proud is an understatement, but it would not have been possible without his amazing instructor who has been patient and encouraging the whole way!! Highly recommend! Thank you Barry!

I can honestly not recommend Barry enough! The passion, knowledge and patience he has is honestly amazing. Someone recommended Mercury driving school in March which I then got in contact with Barry, after a 45 minute phone call with Barry to just get an introduction of what Barry could offer I knew that he was the one and he stood out from all other local instructors. He’s very very reliable, believed in me since day 1 even when I was stalling every time I took off :) I felt so comfortable driving with Barry. We always had a laugh when driving but still achieved everything we had to during our lessons. 30 hours later I passed my test 1st time in Basingstoke! I can not fault Barry and Mercury driving school for anything. Thanks Barry for teaching me, watch out I’m on the roads now :)

I would 100% recommend Barry from mercury driving school. Having been with another instructor who kept letting me down barry restored my confidence and allowed me to feel so comfortable in the car. The way in which he teaches allows you full understanding with clear tips and advice to improve your driving skills. Having Barry made everything so much more relaxed as you didnt feel any pressure whilst being in the car and could focus on improving your skills of driving. The detail in which Mercury Driving School goes into allows you to see your progress through their driving app which is very rewarding as after each lesson you have evidence of yourself learning something new which is very rewarding and a huge confidence boost. Barry is a true professional and i wouldn’t recommend anyone else in the basingstoke area! 10/10 for every aspect involved.

Barry at Mercury Driving school is an excellent instructor, with a calm and understanding attitude towards every aspect of driving. His teaching is clear and concise and each of my lessons were evaluated verbally and all progress and improvements were noted in an app so I, and Barry, could access this throughout my driving journey:) I am quite a nervous person and I overthink a lot and Barry was very patient with me and gave me tips to overcome my mistakes and not get overwhelmed when something didn’t go as planned. I couldn’t recommend him more! I passed first time today with his help, I’m so grateful, thank you Barry!!!
