I have been working for r@h basingstoke as a care giver for 2.5 years now and it was the best choice i have ever made. after caring for my granny for a number of years i new that this was the career i wanted to enter and i'm so glad i did because i love it!! the support that i have received from the office staff has always been amazing and the training has made me feel confident within my role. i highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking to enter into the care industry or wants a change from where they are. it truly is a lovely place to work and the relationships that i have formed with fellow care givers and clients is heart warming.
I have worked for right at home now for nearly 2 years. i was worried about a career change as i previously had been in child care for 12 years. this was the best decision i had made and the flexibility with hours means i get to spend time with my own family but also make a difference to others, which is very rewarding. the support from the office staff is amazing and if i ever have a problem they will do their best to accommodate, or even just listen. i never feel alone in this company. it is a privilege to get up for work in the morning and to make a difference to our clients lives and to ensure the families feel at ease knowing their loved ones are being cared for. the team are all amazing and like the office staff always go above and beyond for each other. if you want to work in a team that is also like an extended family then this is the place to be ! training opportunities are excellent and always lots of training on offer. i wouldn’t see my self working anywhere else now.
The ladies who cared for my husband, who was physically frail and with dementia, were unfailingly lovely. to him they became “our friend” when he couldn’t remember their names. they helped me keep him at home for months after i should not have been able to cope on my own.
Right at home cared for my aunt for around 7 years and i have to say they were wonderful. the carers were very diligent and observant with regard to health issues ensuring that i was always aware when a doctor or healthcare professional needed to be consulted. my aunt was always kept very clean and comfortable. she had good quality attention, conversation and stimulation. above all i knew without doubt that they all genuinely cared for her. all of them, from the carers calling to her home to the office team went above and beyond for my aunt and for me too. i will always be grateful to them for their help and support.
Mum is 97 now and likely to settle into residential care but we have kept her living independently in her own home these past 4 years by employing homecare support. at first she needed just one daily care call to check that all was well; this built up as she became more frail to four hourly visits a day covering meals, catheter, shower, basic care and steadying, outings, washing, limited domestic tasks and, most importantly, companionship. we chose right at home because of their excellent reviews, their thorough and sensitive assessment of mum's needs, and their 'can do' approach. we have found individual rah carers to be naturally caring and capable, obviously some favourites emerging as special, but in general very adaptable and professional in promoting the best situations for mum. with mum living alone ,rah have given us considerable peace of mind supporting her morale and needs. the management of right at home is excellent, dependably reliable, keen always to address care needs ; we have found the carers very punctual .the rotas provide a stable team of known carers week after week while rah are always ready to discuss adjustments for new situations or to meet extra cover. we would thoroughly recommend right at home if support and care at home is something you are considering.
