Had a few of the set tapas menus and the portions were great and perfectly balanced between a few of us. the options worked well together and gave a good range to try. the food was great and tasty with just the right amount of condiments and pleasant appearance. i highly recommend the croquettes which are pleasantly in 2 out of the 3 set menus and the squid rings are nice too. although the bread is a little lacking in quality and quantity as well as the bread sticks i would give it a miss. unfortunately the service let it down a little bit and was adequate but a busy sat meant many dessert menu items were missing which wasn't as clear. although my other diners enjoyed the churros very much. additionally they need to get one of their tables fixed we were politely given a new table but some front of house clarity and teamwork might be needed. maybe a little team building to get them smoothly together. interestingly we were also at no point even during booking asked about dietary restrictions which i believe is now a requirement for restaurants.
We went to the tapas revolution with friends to celebrate my wife’s birthday. we had a great selection of food and drinks. we specially enjoyed roasted chorizo and croquetas. lovely staff and good sangria.
Visited for the first time on a tuesday lunchtime. it's not busy at this time (2 couples). typically, for this type of restaurant, food was good, but portions were average for the price. the small plates dishes we had were well presented and tasty. great for a lunchtime bite. draught beer is expensive, wine is average priced. restaurant automatically adds 12.5% service to the bill.
Incredibly impressed with this place. in one meal i can say this is my favourite place to eat in basingstoke. all of the food was perfect, and really great portions for a tapas. usually the amounts of food at tapas places isn’t that great, but the portions here are great. the food could be enough for the 5 stars alone, but the customer service and the atmosphere also score very highly. it was a bit quiet but then it was a thursday evening we were here. it’s a safe bet for any amount of people turning up as there is such a variety on the menu, everyone can get what they want and when the food is brought out, it looks so good that everyone will want to share a piece of there’s with everyone else. also, the cheesecake is unreal 👌
