Hampshire Court Hotel & Spa

Very nice and pleasant stay. Upgraded our room to a Junior Suite. Came with more space and a complimentary mini bar, which was restocked in the morning. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and well presented. Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed but we ate in the bar area and the food was very nice. The family pool was being refurbished and getting to the main pool was a bit of a faff with a little one for my Wife but otherwise very good. Overall we were impressed with the hotel and its facilities and will probably use again.

This hotel held our white collar event and it was fab, the bits of the hotel I saw were lovely, such a big hotel which fab facilities, changing rooms were brilliant,pool looked nice and the was great outside areas and the restaurants looked great. The staff were so helpful and friendly too. We were in a huge venue room which was amazing. Great night and will be going back to the venue to try the Spa and the food

Our junior suite was spacious and well equipped, if somewhat uninspiring. AC was effective. The staff were all helpful and friendly. Breakfast was OK, food was good but not restocked and monitored enough, so needs closer attention from staff. It felt like if you didn't turn up once breakfast opened, you could miss out. The gym is cool and well equipped. We enjoyed our spa treatments although the massage left us both sore and tender for a few days! Parking is free and plentiful. There are small local shops and a Tesco within walking distance.

When my wife and I arrived here we were greeted by a nice receptionist. A slight distaste was an attempt to charge a reservation fee for two rooms, even though I had paid for them more than 2 months earlier. Unfortunately, one of the rooms turned out to be a bit neglected. In addition to the unpleasant smell of cigarettes and alcohol, there were signs of time that I did not see in the photos when making the reservation. We intervened and got another room, without the unpleasant smell and additionally with a balcony, but in a package with damaged floor slats, stains on the carpet, cobwebs, dust clouds in the ventilation and very dirty curtains. I realize that this is not the cleaner's fault, but rather too short a time to clean the room. In my opinion, as a 4-star hotel, it requires at least a general renovation or downgrading to 3 stars. I wanted to use the swimming pool, but after my experience with the rooms, I decided to limit my physical activity. All in all, I would give 4+ stars for the hotel staff and 2 stars for the rooms. Additional pros for the location - quiet neighborhood and at the same time only 5 minutes on foot to a large Tesco :-) The average is 3.

Spa day with my daughter. The pool has been renovated and is really clean and nice. Could do with some more loungers small steam room and sauna but big enough. Treatments were fabulous and a a real highlight. Had a fanatic deep massage from amiss. Only gave 4 stars as there is no jacuzzi.
