Nandos is normally my go to meal out especially having a family and allergies to contend with. Up until today Nandos would have been 5 stars but the service today was horrible. Normally offered a high chair but had to source our own. Asked if any of us had allergies and I said I did. I was then told that I had to order at the counter, politely replied that I'd eaten there many times before and knew that the chances of an allergic reaction were slim and I'd prefer to order through my phone like I always do. The guy was adamant he knew better than me when it came to my needs. This is no way to speak to a customer and nobody has ever done this before. I tried to order on my phone and was told that my order would be cancelled if I did so my husband reluctantly stood in the queue to order at the counter. 10 minutes later food was ordered and he was told our butterfly chicken would take 30 minutes for some reason. Others ordered butterfly chicken after us (at the counter) and theirs was delivered first. My toddler was screaming because she was hungry yet no food comes to our table just stares from staff and customers. We shouldn't have to bribe her with a phone to be quiet when the food is normally served very quickly. Nearly 40 minutes passed before we got our food, when considering half the tables were empty this is appalling. Normally we stay for dessert but didn't want to suffer any longer.
