Black & White Tree Surgery

We've previously used Dean from Black & White Tree Surgery to remove a couple of trees in the front garden that had gotten out of hand, and so when it came time to replace an enormous hedge in the back garden with fencing to match the rest of the border, B&W were our first port of call. To give an idea of scale, the hedge in the pictures is around 3m wide and 10m long and had a wire fence with metal posts buried in the middle of it, so couldn't just be chopped down and chipped, but instead had to be removed piecemeal and the fence cut out before the trunks could be chain sawed and the stumps ground down. There were 10 trees making up the hedge each with trunks of around 8" diameter, and for some reason a giant earth berm, which doesn't look like much in the pictures but filled half a skip once removed to level ground. Dean was able to locate matching panels for the replacement fencing and had them onsite the next day and the fencing went up in short order. We're just waiting for a particular supplier to restock their trellis to match out existing fencing panels which we'll slot in when its available, but the work Dean and his team did was excellent. The crew were polite, worked hard, turned up when they said they would, and left the site clean and tidy. As an aside, my cats love the dirt area where the hedge used to be. They think we've created a giant dust bath just for them. Excellent work guys, much appreciated!

What a difference and 1st class service again!!! On moving house, my 1st port of call was to Dean and the B&W team to remove this huge eyesore in the back garden! I like trees, but this one was unsafe and in no way a good specimen. It was a bit of an eyesore and caused huge shadows across several of the neighbouring properties. As before, Dean was there within a day or 2 to inspect and quote to remove the tree and also some rather unsightly bushes & shrubs in both front & rear gardens. Very competitive quote and turned up within 1 week to complete the work. All done within 2 days with minimal fuss and a great job all round, not that there was ever any doubt of that! Dean followed up with a further visit to advise on possible landscaping ideas which was extremely useful. I cannot recommend B&W more highly and you’d be bonkers to look elsewhere… Stevie Hair Ps. Dean came out in awful weather this morning and gave us helpful and honest advice regarding an oak tree that was fouling overhead electricity cables. Great service, extremely helpful despite on this occassion, no charge.

Dean and his team came and removed a tree for us within 2 weeks of requesting a quote. We are so pleased with their work and advice. We found them tidy (other than a tree less you wouldn’t know that they had been!) efficient, friendly and professional …and brilliant that they do a 10% discount for NHS staff. Highly recommend.
