Beautiful fish and chips, batter was crisp, fish flakey and fresh and the chips were proper!!! We shared a large cod and chips with mushy peas and it was plenty for 2 for lunch. Also had a lovely chat with Luke who runs the place, he was super friendly and we had a proper good natter. This place is a proper chippy ♥️

If I could give 6 for atmosphere and a 7 for service I would. Super crunchy batter on the Cod and chips. Cod was moist and flaky. Delicious tartar sauce and such friendly and helpful service! The terras is adjacent to a square with a gorgeous huge old tree. We walked up close to closing, having been turned away from 2 other places, and the staff had pity and served us. Was so very grateful anyway, but to get such a great meal as well? Perfect ending to our day in Bath!

Was quite late in the afternoon and we were glad they were open. The staff were very chatty and informative about the origins of the shop. Fish was nice as were the chips. We sat on the ground floor and we were told that the room in the basement was an air raid shelter.

Amazing fish and chips place. So many choices. Also had halloumi for vegeterians and beans, etc. We had the Posh Fish and Chips, which was worth trying and both got larger beers. We ended the evening with their sticky toffee pudding with the best vanilla ice cream of my life.

1. Sometimes it pays off to go to the place and try it for yourself and not check the reviews. 2. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I really enjoyed the banter and the tips that he gave me since I was visiting the city for the first time. 3. The portion is more than enough for you!! I was so full and satisfied with my regular size cod fillet plus chips. And the tartar sauce, amazing 👏🏽 4. For a traditional and old place in Bath, the food is still on point and true to itself. The batter was not too greasy and the chips fried to the right crunchiness. Anytime I'm back in the city, I will definitely visit again. Thanks.
