Amicus Homecare

Amazing service, wonderful carers, attentive management, truly sensitive and compassionate care. Over the years we have had 4 different agencies providing personal care for my father, who has advanced Parkinson’s, epilepsy and dementia. None has come close to the support we receive from Amicus. ALL of the staff are lovely but I must mention Tarisai by name because his ever cheerful attitude, hard work and genuine CARE for my father is incredible. He treats dad with warmth and kindness, but also great attention to his dignity, making him feel like he has choice and agency, rather than just being another job to tick off a list, or a silly old man who has no say in what happens to him. I must also say that Rachel (who is the registered manager of the service) is wonderful, when she came to assess my father she treated him like a human, not a job. When she visits she is always keen to know if there is anything else we need, and to check we are getting the appropriate support. She is warm and kind but also thorough and exceptionally efficient. We honestly could not ask for better care. The combination of genuinely caring people, supportive management and attention to my dad’s needs as an individual makes an exceptional service. We are so grateful for their help, it means dad can stay at home safely which would be impossible without them.
