Great experience with Tom and the rest of the Lansdown Financial team, highly recommend. They sorted out our mortgage, income protection and life insurance policies. It's a free service for you, they just get a kick back from the providers, so great service. We will continue to use them when our mortgage is due for renewal.

Doug and his team were very accommodating, met with us a few times, no pressure into getting things sorted until we were ready, gave us multiple options and advised us on what each option meant. As a first time buyer with very little information to start with, I felt very well supported and guided by Tom and his team. We manage to get the mortgage application offer very quickly and that sped things up for me. Very pleased with the service and would definitely recommend it.

Our mortgage eligibility was complicated by the fact we had literally just retired, so no longer had any evidence of salary, and had not drawn any pension income. All this meant our previous broker couldn’t be bothered to help and the lenders we approached directly were similarly disinterested. When we spoke to Tom his attitude couldn’t have been more different and more helpful than the others we had dealt with to that point. Tom took the time and made the effort to really understand our finances and then worked with us to present them to lenders in a compelling way. It took a number of iterations but the result was a choice of deals all of which were very attractive and entirely appropriate to our situation. Tom and his colleagues were extremely diligent and helpful throughout our new house purchase so I can unreservedly recommend them.

Excellent service and absolutely invaluable for us as first time buyers. Tom has been brilliant; he is super responsive, gives clear advice and has always been happy to help with our (numerous!) questions about the whole process. Tom helped us arrange our mortgage and life insurance and tailored his recommendations for our situation, adjusting things where needed and he provided us with clear information regarding our options. Tom also referred us to our solicitors, who have been very efficient in their work on the purchase. We did get another couple of referrals which we ultimately didn’t proceed with. The home insurance quote from the recommended provider was steep against other providers so we arranged this elsewhere. We also arranged a survey through a recommended provider, who unfortunately couldn’t carry out the survey within the timescale needed so again we arranged this with a different provider. Important to note that neither of these issues were directly within Tom or Lansdown’s control. We can’t recommend him and Lansdown enough and are genuinely grateful for all his help; he has made a really stressful process much smoother. Thanks Tom!
