Beautiful park and a lovely place to wander! we parked
We live in bath and haven't visited victoria park for a few years. we now have grandchildren and enjoyed the safety and updating to the park! loved the cafe but not the prices 🤣
Nice park for picknic or relax. there are some interesting places arroud with history and places for kids. we went there with friends to have some tea in the shadow of a big tree
Victoria park is a lovely place to take your kids for the day. the park is massive, and has several different areas for children of all ages. there's a café at the top of the park - which offers refreshments, cakes and special lunch deals for the kids. what's more - just above the park there's a large pond where ducks and other birds congregate. if you go further north of the park there are the botanical gardens, which offer a peaceful walk to anyone looking for a relaxed vibe. if you have the kids - head there with some nuts as the squirrels are super friendly and openly approach you. a great place for a family day out! 4 stars reason: the only qualms i have with the park is park maintenance - the park seems to have gone unchanged for a decade and as such parts of the park look run down. however, the structural integrity has remained strong as far as i've seen.
We went to the botanical gardens, which are the best bit. amazing trees and some beautiful borders. it deserves more investment from the council or other public body or trust. we didn’t visit the rest of the park, which is very good. a unique open space in the heart of bath.
