Betty Bhandari - Wedding Photography

We got married in Bath and wanted to use local suppliers. Betty had a wealthy of experience at our venue, so we chose to go with her as she is familiar with the lay of the land and we love her style. Betty was an absolute pleasure from start to finish; she was always there to answer any queries and has a very useful website, where all the relevant information is captured - this saved many additional emails back and forth. I cannot do justice to how wonderful Betty was on the day. I hate having my picture taken and I didn't notice her in the apartment, whilst we were getting ready. She left the bridal party to walk to the venue to meet the groom and his wedding party, to ensure she covered all bases. Betty also helped to organise our guests at the venue, when the staff were not clear where people should be. My brief to Betty was to capture the (usual) bride, groom, parents and wedding party posed photos but then to really capture the day. I am now in receipt of some wonderful 'sneak peek' photos of our day and WOW! She is a photography ninja! I am not sure how she managed to get some of the pictures, especially without me noticing and pulling my usual stupid faces but she was clearly in stealth mode and delivered! I cannot recommend Betty enough, she is a superstar!

We had the most wonderful experience with Betty as our wedding photographer. She was with us every step of the planning process (which, due to Covid, was over 3 years) and understood our vision. She is extremely organized and prompt, and she worked collaboratively with us to make sure we had the most beautiful photos to remember our special day. Her professional knowledge is exceptional. She did site visits at all of our venues and had numerous phone calls with us. On our calls, she shared her ideas on how to keep the flow of the day so we could get the shots we wanted but also be present during our celebration. On our actual wedding day, she catered to us, making sure we were well hydrated and comfortable during 30+ degree heat. She worked so well with our videographers and venue staff, and she was such a huge part of making our wedding day worth the wait. We are forever grateful for her taking this very long journey with us and we highly recommend her to anyone!

Betty was amazing to work with! My girlfriend and I were traveling to the UK from the US and I decided that Bath would be the perfect place to propose. I talked to several surprise engagement photographers ahead of the trip but Betty was the most helpful and had the best photography style. She made the whole process extremely stress-free and captured the moment perfectly.

We initially came across the fabulous Betty at the Bath wedding showcase in February (although Bath holds a special place in our hearts were not local so didn’t really know where to begin with wedding planning) and not only were we blown away by her breathtaking photos but also of Betty herself!! You can tell just how much she loves what she does & she truly goes above and beyond, which is reflected in her photos. She kept in touch with us regularly leading up to our special day and really sat and got to know what meant the most to us. To top it off she is also fabulous at helping to plan out your day (she’s like a wedding fairy godmother). When it came to our wedding day she was once again just fabulous! Both Tim & myself along with our wedding guests adored her! As a pair who are normally the ones behind the camera Betty made us feel so at ease. I’m (Sophie) not the most confident but with Betty (and of course my new husband) by my side I waltzed through Bath without a care in the world feeling like a character out of Bridgerton. We received our photos this afternoon and we are blown away! Betty has captured so much I feel like We can relive our special day over and over again! They are photos we will cherish forever! Once we had decided to have a micro wedding, and in Bath (where we had not been before) our thoughts were that the most important aspect of our day had to be a great local wedding photographer. How right we were ! After some research I came across Betty. As soon as I read her reviews etc. I knew she was the one for us. That really was the best decision we made. After contacting Betty enquiring about our wedding date she responded very quickly. Being as we live in Staffordshire if was very useful to be able to have a zoom call with Betty to talk about our plans etc. She kept in contact before the wedding and provided help with any questions we had about Bath and the local suppliers that we intended to use. On the day Betty was fantastic. She totally understood what we were after which was a super relaxed and carefree day. She really did help us to achieve just that. She photographed in such a way that everything seemed so natural and unforced. You can see from our photos how happy we were, our faces are beaming. It was literally as though a friend we had known for ages was taking our photos and that's what helped our day feel so special. Betty even agreed to stay and toast our special day with us and our 2 witnesses which was lovely. Betty is a fabulous woman and a great photographer ! We recommend her wholeheartedly !
