JAMES ST

The food was lovely, good quality stuff. We were in the restaurant for about 45minutes, having 2 courses, which shows how fast the service was. However, there was absolutely no atmosphere. The waitress said that she couldn't hear my partner's order because the music was so loud and yet the atmosphere felt flat. There is hardly any decor, it's very plain and the seat I had just looked into the bare waiting area. Once we had finished our food we really didn't want to stick around for any longer than we needed to. I would recommend the food but I won't be coming back to James St myself.

What an incredible meal! My partner and I visited James St to celebrate our anniversary. The staff were so patient, polite and kind, making excellent wine suggestions to complement our menu choices. The food was delicious from start to finish from the beef carpaccio to the Steak and the Turkey to beautiful sticky toffee pudding. We love this place and will always be returning it’s a true credit to the James Street crew! Thank you!

We love this restaurant. Our hotel recommended it and the Google reviews backed up their recommendation so we went. The food and service were spectacular. We each ordered the 3 Course Fixed Menu. Every item was delicious and presented beautifully. Neive was our waitress and she was professional, friendly, and high energy. We would be regulars here if we lived In Belfast.

Delicious steak, perfectly cooked to medium rear. Staff top class. Interior simple, nothing fancy. Sometimes it get very noisy, because not much room inside and tables are too close each other.

Not as good as other visits. This would normally be my number 1 go to restaurant in Belfast but tonight it just didn’t hit the same spot. Everything lacked seasoning, squid starter was basic, my med/rare steak was too crispy on the outside and not as melt in the mouth as usual. Disappointing.
