This is an all-around great exhibit! you will learn a lot of the making of the ship and the people who pulled off something so incredible for the time period. if you do it correctly, you'll spend 3-4 hours doing it. don't let the 1 star reviewers deter you from this. some say it doesn't have much about the actual titanic and more about making and belfast. that is simply not true. it will take you step by step what happened that night. even showing the distress messages and interactions between ships after impact. all in all, it makes for a good day of learning history, and afterward, you can walk around the area. there is a local distillery very close as well.
Titanic belfast: we’ve all seen the film, but to be in the vicinity of where it was built, to see the cranes, the ss nomadic, the museum, is another experience and ‘titanic belfast’ do an exceptional job of bringing it alive. i’m not a man of history but i thoroughly enjoyed learning about the history of the titanic. the museum is built and presented very, very well. there is parking at the museum for £3. to do the full museum experience it is £24.95. you don’t have to buy these in advance. you may also go aboard the ss nomadic. a great experience. the staff at the ss nomadic are wonderful. really, really nice staff. couldn’t fault the experience at all. 100% worth. visit if your in belfast. thank you for the ‘titanic belfast’ experience. 💫
What a great museum! we bought the early bird tickets, thank goodness! had plenty of room on a rainy morning to explore and listen to the audio we purchased, definitely recommend getting the self guided tour! then got coffees and went through the gift shop.
Add this to your must watch places. it's beautiful.4 and 5 floor is recently added. it takes about 4 hours to see things properly. keep your energy and more time for floor no 3 and 2. that is the most interesting part. food here is also good. so take a break....have lunch and then continue. the staff is very very helpful and responsive. all portions are wheelchair accessible. washrooms are clean.
Really really busy so can be difficult to see all of the displays but definitely worth the visit! a good 2 - 3 hours needed minimum, book in advance if possible. be mindful that it's about 20-30mins walk from belfast centre.
