ColourFence Garden Fencing - Solihull

Despite the fence installation having to be delayed due to COVID 19 Mark gave me regular updates, and kept me informed of when the business could resume. When Sam came to install the fence he went above and beyond. I was donating my old wooden fence to my neighbours; as theirs was in a poor state. I asked Sam to put my old panels to one side explaining that my neighbour and I would fit them. He was so kind as he took my neighbours ten fence panels out, then replaced them with ten of mine to save us the job. This thoughtful and kind approach continued throughout the two days, as I asked him to save some other fence panels, concrete posts and gravel boards as I was going to work with a different neighbour to recycle these and create a fence at the bottom of our adjoining gardens. Overall Sam worked incredibly hard, was very efficient, and has a high work ethic. He was very trustworthy; so I felt safe to leave him in my garden whilst I went out. He was also very neat and tidy and my garden was immaculate after the work was complete. I am very pleased with both the finished product, as well as the professional manner in which it was installed.

These guys are brilliant, and the Colourfence product is brilliant too. We have now had two sections of fencing installed by M&D Fencing including a matching side gate - the first section was installed 4 years ago and the second, adjoining, section almost one year ago now. Both sections still look as good as the day they were installed and you cannot see any difference at all between the two sections even though there is a three year 'age' difference. I will attach some photographs. Hand on heart we have done absolutely zero maintenance to the fencing during that time, not even hosing it down. We have found that any dust/dirt and bird lime simply gets washed off by the rain. Even now we still get many appreciative comments about the fencing from friends and visitors (when allowed!), passers-by, and even delivery people and tradespeople! Both Mark and Sam are very friendly and polite chaps, and work in a professional manner (including appropriate measures during covid restrictions). They always left the site safe overnight, removed and disposed of all old fencing, and left the site clean and tidy on completion. The Colourfence products are incredibly versatile due to their modular nature and Mark and Sam also made sure that it was all installed exactly to our rather specific requirements. I would have no hesitation in recommending M&D Fencing and Colourfence metal fencing to anyone. Our expectations have been exceeded on both counts and we are very happy as a result. It's just a shame that not all companies and tradespeople provide such good service.

This is the 2nd time we've used this company and both times we've been pleased with the work done. Sam put up the fence on both occasions and was pleasant, professional, on time and kept us informed of any issues along the way. The fence was expensive but we felt it was worth it as it's more secure than our previous fence, looks good and we don't have to paint it every year! Furthermore we were reassured that any issues with it would be dealt with by a phone call to them.

Our garden fencing desperately doing as it had been more than 15 years since it was last done. The wooden panels - already tired and broken - finally succumbed to Storm Eunice and Franklin. We got three quotes from companies locally (as they tell you to) and opted for ColourFence. The price for the metal fencing was slightly more expensive than the wooden panel quotes but it is more durable and comes with a 25-year guarantee. The staff were knowledgeable, helpful and friendly, explaining all the options and costs involved. On the day of installation, Sam arrived on time to do the job and got to work. Although we don't have the biggest back garden and (thanks to the storms) he had a blank canvas, he had it completed in two days and the garden is now looking the best it has ever been. We have a few surrounding properties to the back and a neighbour recently having some trees chopped down had left our plot somewhat exposed to other households and the elements. Now - with the 6ft excellent quality fencing (the highest you can go without planning permission) - we have our privacy back and a nice looking garden in time for the spring and summer months. The fencing comes in a range of colours and we opted for the blue. We would definitely recommend ColourFence and this type of fencing for your garden or plot of land.

Arrived promptly. Polite and informative. Rails look fantastic, we had them in grey. They feel very robust and it makes the garden much safer. Would recommend.
