Phat Jo's

Ok it’s been in the cards for a while and we finally visited. Well known on social media and well known locally. The place was busy and we had a short wait for our food to cook, no worries here. The burgers were delicious. Very filling. Very very good. The meat was perfectly cooked. Just melt in the mouth loveliness. You can believe the hype. The city is filling up with smash burger joints and this is close to the best. So why not 5 stars? Knocking one off for the just ok chips. The menu promises skin-on fries and it didn’t deliver. They were certainly better than McDonalds but also not what is promised. They tasted similar to a cheap cafe, but this shouldn’t be enough to stop you visiting. I will be back. And back again after that. Tons of places still to try but these guys are making great burgers and I hope they go from strength to strength. Looking forward to skin-on fries on a future visit.

Lovely place. CAPITAL of smash burgers. In Birmingham if your looking to eat a smash burger you have to pay Phat Jo's a visit. Seen them being made the boys put a lot of effort into it. First time a ate from here hence 4 stars. If the service and food is the same again this will be 5 strong stars for them. Additionally chicken strips made succulent and not dry at all with a lovely sauce. All in all super service. Already planning the next visit 🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔🍔

Just got this from the small heath branch on coventry Rd, The patties had the right ratios of fat n meat, juicy, tasty, nice bun, best rashers I've had in a burger anywhere, fries were good sauce combination even better, hands down best burger spot in small heath so far. A must visit, excellent customer service from the brothers. 💎💎💎💎💎
