Went to this japanese restaurant today with two kids. the interior design is very nice. there is a very nice mount fuji wallpaper. the tatami seats are attractive too. unfortunately the seats are not available for walk-in. the chef is very nice. he was preparing food and still greeted nicely when we came in. we are not very hungry so we only ordered one seafood ramen, one tuna roll, one eel avocado roll and grilled asparagus and one lychee juice. overall the foods are delicious. especially the seafood ramen and tuna roll. tuna is raw and fresh. the seafood ramen came with prawns, scallops, egg, fish, seafood sticks. that’s good 👍🏻 eel avocado roll is yummy too. lychee juice is too sweet but my kids love it. grilled asparagus is nice but the menu is quite strange. it wrote £3, only 1 skewer of asparagus but you must order at least 2 skewers and cannot combine with other skewers. why not just write £6 for 2 skewers?🤷🏻♀️ the reason i only gave 3 stars is the seat arrangement. the waitress said there is only one table left for walk in which is two seats only. she said she can add one chair for me. honestly i don’t really mind to squeeze a little bit with my kids. but i do mind they took away my chair while i went to toilet with my kids. i feel disappointed with this. it’s a bit rude. secondly, there are at least two empty tables as you can see in my photo. the waitress said those are reserved but it still empty when we left. 食物是可以,師傅和店員態度友善,但店員安排座位不善。幾個留座位置一直懸空直至我離開。更失望的是,陪孩子上廁所後,椅子都被拿走了,這處理方法很不禮貌。
Had a great experience here solo dining. the waiters were very polite and friendly. i had the sashimi bento and it was beautiful and delicious. was very fresh and had a great bite. a big highlight was the sweet prawn! highly recommended. will be back soon.
A very enjoyable take on what i think are possibly japanese classics. my favourite being the tempura. frothily battered pieces of vegetable and shrimp/crayfish. crunchy, light and so tasty. the burnt rice green tea was refreshing and came with endless top ups. very friendly and welcoming. a lovely lunch.
Definitely a place to recommend and eat! tried all sorts of dishes, from the rolls to the dons, sashimi was super fresh and i tried the selection box although small but each square was unique and was very flavourful. as the box was quite small i did order a cream cheese and salmon roll. as full as i was i also ordered the sushi taco which had a great crunch. didn’t have much selection of desserts which was a little of a let down, so ordered the traditional jelly.
Hands down!!! the best sushi in the uk i’ve ever had. and trust me when i say this, i’ve tried many over the years and takumi by far tops them all. i mean where do i even start. from the starter all the way to the desserts. every single dish i’ve had over the past year has been a1. incredible. i can’t rate this place enough. and the staff especially the manager jenny. superb service, thank you so much giving me an amazing experience every time i visit. also a massive thank you to the master chef for his talent in creating all this master piece.
