Livingstone House

I went here for a Detox from severe Alcohol addiction/abuse. I was welcomed with open arms by the staff and the current residents there. Everyone at different stages of recovery for different things, but everyone was so helpful. There is always someone there to talk to and meetings to attend. Food is great! The place is fantastic it has saved my life! I can’t Thank them enough. Totally recommend to anyone who is suffering and admitted they need help. There is a way out of this misery and this place will get the current you back to the real YOU again. THANKYOU Livingstone House.

Livingstone House is an amazing place. I highly recommend this fantastic rehabilitation centre if you, a family member, or friend is struggling with addiction. The care and understanding I received from every member of staff guided me to get my life on track and helped me find happiness again. The family environment created over many years gave me the tools to grow as a person. The lasting support and sense of belonging I gained from Livingstone helped my family regain someone they nearly lost. Livingstone house will always play a huge part in my ongoing recovery.

I went into Livingstone House in May this year for 6 weeks treatment for Alcohol dependency,I cannot thank the staff enough for how much they helped me,the environment and programme were excellent, quite strict too which was good for me. I left 2 weeks ago and feel so much better and most importantly clean and sober, taking one day at a time. It really does work if you put the hard work in, highly recommend to anyone with drug and alcohol problems .

I reached out to Livingstone House (LH) in January 2023. My Sister helped me make and take the calls. I spent 28 days at LH where I was detoxed from alcohol during the 1st week and then I was reintroduced to the 12 step Recovery programme, which I know works " if you work it". I had stopped practicing and living this life saving programme which led to me relapsing during a 2 week relapse which nearly killed me. LH is a safe and caring place where with the love and support of ALL staff and my fellow peers I was able to find the Authentic John again. The daily discipline was good for me and when I was challenged by staff and peers in group sessions I was Grateful for their insight and I took Action. I could not have done this on my own. I took advantage of all the activities on offer. I could have declined but I wanted this with every fibre of my being. I am Grateful for the 12 step AA and NA meetings that the staff took us to locally, the personal training sessions, the gym visits, the professional Counsellor 1 to 1 visits, the therapeutic group sessions, key working sessions, visits to Church on Sundays and days out on a river Severn walk in Worcester and a walk in Cannon hill park, Birmingham. I could not recommend LH highly enough. I was lost but now I’m found and on a new and exciting journey in Recovery. I have stopped fighting the world. I understand my part in it. My drinking was wrong because my thinking was wrong. LH guided me back to the programme that identifies this and keeps my thinking in check on a daily basis. My Daughter has a new Dad back. My family a new Son, Brother, Uncle and Cousin back. My Employer a new Employee back and my Neighbours a new John back. It is 7 weeks since my last drink and I am so happy to be back around and involved in the local AA meetings once again and living a clean and sober life in my Community. 5 Stars LH ☆☆☆☆☆ Thank you from the bottom of my heart ❤️ John – A Grateful Recovering alcoholic

Our son received outstanding care at Livingstone House throughout his 3 month stay. The amazing staff are what make Livingstone House a truly remarkable place. He was welcomed from the moment he spoke to Paul M, and his keyworker Paul B, worked hard to build a positive, trusted relationship with him, as did all the staff. As family, we were kept informed of our son's progress and communication was excellent. All the staff have a deep understanding of addiction and our son describes how this was the most important part of his recovery. Staff show genuine compassion and care and create a family culture that helped our son settle so quickly. He always felt respected and valued and spoke so highly of all the staff right from the early days of his stay. He has returned to us healthy and happy and with the skills with which to rebuild his life, and this is thanks to all the staff at Livingstone House.
