Calm THE PUP Down! Dog Training and Behaviour

We have been remote clients of ctpd for the last 8 months and it has been brilliant for us as new dog owners and for our rescue lurcher. we reached out to faye to help us with our dog's prey drive and recall initially, but through our sessions we have been able to work on other areas too. we really value faye's knowledge, skills, professionalism. we able to work at our own pace and book sessions as and when we need to. after each zoom session we get follow up notes plus written instructions of exercises or concepts discussed (and very often videos too). faye provides generous email support between sessions and her feedback on the videos we send help keep us on track and tighten up our mechanics. i really feel like faye is rooting for us and i would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone. the zoom sessions have been exceptional value for money and the support we receive is invaluable.

Faye's expertise has really helped us bring along the training of jim, our particularly "springy" springer spaniel pup. before the session with faye, we were really struggling with keeping jim's attention on walks, leading to pulling and, at some points with bigger dogs, a little bit of reactive behaviour. as he was beginning to choke himself whenever his harness wasn't on and refusing to stop pulling when a distraction came his way, we thought we would contact faye and ask for her help. during the one to one, we worked on handler focus and how we can work keep his attention on us during walks and retrain lead tension as a marker to come towards us, change direction etc. after the training, faye even stayed behind to talk to us and answer any questions we had about food, treats, scent work, gun dog training etc. she even sent us a vast array of videos and pdf. resources over email that we have implemented into his current training regime. since the one to one, jim's lead walking has improved massively and he just about coming around to the idea of a semi-regular heel. i would definitely recommend calm the pup down!

As a complete novice finding myself with a reactive foreign rescue and no clue what to do, i couldn't have been luckier than to find faye who is as empathetic as she is knowledgeable. she is a passionate advocate for dogs and absolutely knows her stuff which she is endlessly patient in explaining. i recommend calm the pup down! to anyone who wants to the do the best for their dog but is struggling to find the right way to go about it. faye knows the right way!

Faye is an excellent and empathetic dog trainer who clearly has passion for not only dogs, but also her craft. i have worked with faye on a few occasions as i settled a rescue dog in to my home with my existing dog; and then again when i was settling a puppy in to my home. she is extremely knowledgeable and creates a clear and easy to follow training plan. i often struggle with remembering homework tasks, but faye made it easy by breaking it up in to small exercises for me to progress at mine and my dogs pace. her social media is also well worth a follow because of enigmatic barbie!
