I've been here many times and this time I'm sorry to say will be my last. Chop suey rolls fell apart, filled that heavily with grease that the wrapping was saturated and leaked in the bag. There was very little meat in the rolls and certainly no seasoning as it was very bland and like I say greasy. I didn't expect almost 95% of the roll to be beansprouts the few bits of meat and prawns were over cooked dry and even the cat wouldnt touch them. The chips were greasy and soggy. The curry sauce was extremely thick and conjealed to a lump when on the plate. Overall it was as if the oil hadn't been changed in months and due to it being burnt left a bitter taste on the food cooked in it. I have always given a top rating here as I used to highly rate the food. Its either new owners/management or they've just stopped caring. This will be my last time there

First time buying fish and chips from here, it will be the last! The fish was pinkish and tasted very oily and it was the cheapest white fish I have ever had. Add to that the minimalist layer of batter which was somewhat undercooked and the fish was disasterous. The chips were pretty poor too, very oily and way too many black bits. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Very poor , sweet and sour chicken has always included a small chips in the price I’ve been going for nearly 5 years. Went in today to be told they are a extra £1 and said they always have been (so basically accusing me of lying). So I walked out. It’s not the price that’s the issue it’s the fact I would rather go somewhere else not be called a lier. You have lost a loyal customer well done.

Always enjoy the food from A1, whether I order fish and chips or a Chinese. There is a great selection of English and Chinese, also vegetarian options available too. You can ring and order before you go to the shop, and they accept cash or bank transfer which is great if you're like me and never have cash on you.
