Visited for lunch and had the salmon and cod special. we also had a bottle of sauvignon. food was excellent quality although the salmon i opted for was grilled and was slightly over cooked. portion sizes are relatively small for the price in my opinion. the wine selection is small but the sauvignon we had was unexpectedly good. we were welcomed at the door and informed to sit anywhere and someone would be over with a menu. the menu took a little time to make its way over. overall, i would say the food is generally excellent and the wine is surprisingly good. portion size is marginally below average. my negatives are critical but honest. definitely recommend a visit however!
Lovely place. came after an appointment i had elsewhere, i'm based in manchester. shared a fish and chips with a family member and had some filtered coffee. good service and nice vibes. would be nice to see the piano being played if i came again but in the evening.
Had the scampi and it was delicious! somewhere in the back of my mind i thought there was table service, but i had to order at the counter. it was extremely busy for a monday and had to wait about 10 minutes for a table for 1, as dud the party of 4 in front of me. will definitely be back!
Olympus fish and chip restaurant never fails to impress, and my recent visit was no exception; the food was simply delicious. i indulged in their classic fish and chips, served with a side of peas and a generous portion gravy in a separate gravy jug. the fish was perfectly crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, a testament to their skill in frying, whilst the chips were golden and crispy, providing a delightful contrast to the succulent fish, and the peas were a refreshing accompaniment, adding a touch of greenery to the plate. but what truly sets olympus apart is its staff. they were as fantastic as ever, living up to their reputation of being polite and welcoming. the service was nothing short of fabulous. from the moment i walked in, i felt like a valued guest. the staff went out of their way to ensure a pleasant dining experience, making me feel right at home. olympus fish and chip restaurant remains a go-to spot for delicious, traditional fare served with a smile. if you're in search of delectable fish and chips with exceptional service, this establishment is a must-visit.
A quiet and comfy restaurant located right opposite to the bolton bus interchange. had to order at the counter but all the staff members were very friendly, helpful and professional. food was nice, especially the pepperoni pizza topped with a very generous amount of cheese. their soup of the day was tasty too. it was vegetable soup, creamy enough to be a nice dip for the chips. p.s. love their choice of music. their playlist featured a lot of songs of the bee gees, which did add some classiness to the vibe of the restaurant.
