If you’ve been using Bolton town as the punchline for your hackneyed quips, then do yourself a favour and visit this park. It’s meandering paths, towering trees and serene lake will give you new perspective

Nice enough for a small walk, Ponds are a bit filthy, not pleasant at all being there, a bit smelley too. Has a nice large green area for a pic nic on a good day. Love the squirrels though 😍

Queens Park is an excellent example of a public park that is full of character and history. Its terrace design and garden feel make it a must visit park for anyone who is fond of parks from the 'Victorian' era. . The park offers a range of different walks and loops, however, it can be quite steep in parts. . The children's play area is well equipped and maintained + close to the cafe and toilet facilities. The cafe also offers a decent range of ice creams and coffees. . One of the real gems of the park is it's sporting facilities. There are well maintained tennis courts, an outdoor gym with weights! Plus a basketball court. The basketball court has potential but would really benefit from some upgraded hoops and nets. . We travelled from Wigan to visit the park and there are plenty of free car parking spaces. The park is also a short distance from Bolton town centre and you can enjoy views of Bolton town hall from the parks viewing areas. . In summary, this park is a true Victorian gem and offers something for the whole family. Give it a visit.... You won't be disappointed

A great park near the centre of Bolton, with car parking off Chorley New Road. Plenty of pathways, bridges, viewing points and a café and children’s play area too. Very peaceful and a good place to walk and relax. The place is dog friendly and there are plenty of bins and benches dotted around.
