If you’ve been using bolton town as the punchline for your hackneyed quips, then do yourself a favour and visit this park. it’s meandering paths, towering trees and serene lake will give you new perspective
Beautiful everytime, fun and relaxing time with family..amazing scenery, great walks, fun play area for all ages. one of the best parks in lancashire. recommend to go..
Nice enough for a small walk, ponds are a bit filthy, not pleasant at all being there, a bit smelley too. has a nice large green area for a pic nic on a good day. love the squirrels though 😍
Queens park is an excellent example of a public park that is full of character and history. its terrace design and garden feel make it a must visit park for anyone who is fond of parks from the 'victorian' era. . the park offers a range of different walks and loops, however, it can be quite steep in parts. . the children's play area is well equipped and maintained + close to the cafe and toilet facilities. the cafe also offers a decent range of ice creams and coffees. . one of the real gems of the park is it's sporting facilities. there are well maintained tennis courts, an outdoor gym with weights! plus a basketball court. the basketball court has potential but would really benefit from some upgraded hoops and nets. . we travelled from wigan to visit the park and there are plenty of free car parking spaces. the park is also a short distance from bolton town centre and you can enjoy views of bolton town hall from the parks viewing areas. . in summary, this park is a true victorian gem and offers something for the whole family. give it a visit.... you won't be disappointed
A great park near the centre of bolton, with car parking off chorley new road. plenty of pathways, bridges, viewing points and a café and children’s play area too. very peaceful and a good place to walk and relax. the place is dog friendly and there are plenty of bins and benches dotted around.
