Lovely staf and volunteers! they gave my kids a wonderfull time in the house...nice little walled garden next door to walk through and to buy some plants ! but the play area is even hard for grown ups to do...so no need to just go there for the play area.
Beautiful historical place, staff are able to answer any of your questions and tell you about the history of this tower. there are toilets available, little cafe with, and outdoor gardens. little hidden gem.
Amazing grounds to walk around. the house is beautiful and it's open to the public at weekends. there's also a lovely gift shop inside the house. there's and out side cafe for drinks and cakes and an ice cream parlour. picnic tables are dotted around the grounds to plus toilet. there's also a small adventure play ground.
Called in as i'd seen this on our map. was not disappointed it is a interesting place to look around staff very knowledgeable it stands in some wonderful grounds for children to play and ideal for dog walking. woodland cafe is a must, beautiful home-made cakes and we had a lovely sandwich. meal deal was 6£ including crisps sandwich and drink.
Lovely staff and a nice tour of the tower staff are very knowledgeable of the tower and very interesting to listen to. the café does some amazing cakes which also include a range of gluten free and vegan cakes. these made the day that bit better after walking around the tower and the woodland area which surrounds it great place for family and great for an afternoon away as its very quite and peaceful.
