Maths tuition Bolton

My daughter has had several private maths' tutors, as she has struggled with this subject all the way through school. She did not pass her GCSE resit, and although she had only a few sessions with Alex, she feels she benefited the most from his tuition - his encouragement, his explanation of the topics but, overall, his empathy with a student who just really didn't get maths was invaluable. We just wish that we had found Alex sooner!

My son started working with Alex in Year 8 when he was showing signs of struggling with his Maths. He was in a low set at school and was not having consistent teachers at school which wasn’t helping. Alex soon ‘got Daniel’ and Dan related to and respected Alex which led to him making huge improvements in his understanding and attitude towards his maths. Dan has just achieved a really strong grade 5 at GCSE- the highest he could score on the Foundation paper which has meant he has got a place studying A Levels at the college he wanted. More than that, Dan felt that Maths was his ‘strongest subject’ and he walked into each maths exam feeling completely confident. It also allowed me to focus on his other core subjects with him, which he also then achieved strong results in. Starting using Alex in the December before my daughters GCSE ‘s in May. My daughter had been reluctant to go to a tutor but finally accepted she needed some help. In December she was predicted a 4 and after only 5 months with Alex she got a 6. My daughter really enjoyed the sessions with Alex and after just a few months she much more confident.
