Visited early evening monday 25th, i took my parents they agreed to give somewhere new a try even though they don’t like change! 😃 we were quickly greeted in a friendly manner. the menu is broad enough to find something you like without overwhelming you with choice. we all ordered the starters arrived well presented and at a good temperature! i can personally recommend the coconut soup! 👍 the mains came to our table again well presented and all 3 of us agreed it was of great quality and tasted great. i personally had the duck curry, and sampled some of the massaman curry and again can highly recommend either of them! so nam ploy gets 5 ⭐️for great service and food! and i got 5 ⭐️ for saying let’s give it a go!
Atmosphere was good, with a live singer going round the tables and a magician. server was polite and friendly but had limited knowledge of the menu, resulting in ordering something that didn't suite. food was nice enough, although more than elements of chinese style rather than thai.
Ive just re-visited the new nam ploy at middlebrook (july 2023). still fantastic food and service, love the interior decor. no entertainment this time, see below, maybe they don't do it again or it's a weekend thing? however, i was there with friends catching up snd we wouldn't have wanted entertainment. can't speak too highly of nam ploy, where do i start? the food is the best thai that i've had, lots of choice, i especially recommend the banquet's for two or more people, especially the vegetarian, there's. there's more than enough for everyone, very good value for money. the staff are so friendly and always smiling. the owner greets you and and makes sure you happy with everthing, he even takes photos for you, he took the group photo attached to this review. lastly the entertainment is brilliant, i've been twice recently and the first time they had a acoustic guitarist who sang like james blunt then came radio edit who sang 80s and 90s hits. the second time we visited they had the very talented soul singer, victor haynes singing ballads whilst a magician visited the tables doing very clever card tricks. just a fantastic and entertaining night out with friends, simply perfect.
Called in for a meal before the cinema, unfortunately had not booked and due to the football is was extremely busy!! the manager was very accommodating and found us a table for 2 and told us to let the waitress know we didn't have a lot of time. the food was lovely and will definitely visit again when we have more time.
Really enjoyed our 2 course lunch. descents portion lovely authentic thai food. one of the best thai restaurants iv had around north west.
