I would highly recommend Rachel at Southbourne Acupuncture Clinic to anyone looking for fertility acupuncture. I went to Rachel after my first round of IVF was unsuccessful and she has been amazing. She is highly professional and clearly takes great care and pride in what she does. On top of that she is absolutely lovely and I really looked forward to our sessions together. For anyone unsure about acupuncture, it doesn’t hurt at all and is actually very relaxing. I’m now 6 months pregnant and will be eternally grateful to Rachel for her help. Thank you!

From the moment I met Rachel for initial consultation she put me at complete ease. I was slightly sceptical about whether acupuncture would actually help me - suffering from severe stage 4 endometriosis, chronic pain & issues with fertility & miscarriage, I approached it all thinking it probably wouldn’t help but wanted to be willing to try anything advised that might help. This really was one of the last things I hadn’t tried on a very long list of possible treatments to alleviate symptoms & get my body back in balance. Following a gynea Op & recovery period, Rachel worked with me for 8 weeks to help rebalance hormones & get my cycle back into a normal rhythm (having been on synthetic hormones), the main priority was to help manage pain & try to stabilise things before embarking on our ivf journey. After 4 weeks of trusting the process & Rachel doing what she does best, we had a huge surprise - we fell pregnant naturally! This was a huge surprise to my surgeon & the NHS staff who had been supporting me. Odds of natural conception were incredibly low for us due to internal damage - but I have no doubt that Rachel’s incredibly careful hand, knowledge & insight helped this little life come into being. With Rachel’s help, my cycle returned in no time & my body (having been through so much!) was busy preparing itself. Rachel continued with me through the very early stages of pregnancy & catered the acupuncture to each unique stage - we’re now creeping into our third trimester. I found Rachel’s treatment to be incredibly thorough, incredibly professional & personable, I never felt rushed & the time she offered before each session to discuss any concerns was honesty like therapy. Worth every penny! Rachel - you have such a gift & I hope others come to you more readily than I did!! I was a patient of Rachel’s for around a year and I can honestly say I looked forward to my treatments, less so the needles(!) but the positive way I felt after seeing her. I found Rachel to be friendly, kind, respectful and felt she genuinely wanted the best for me. I went to Rachel in the hope of shortening my very lengthy cycles. We had been trying for around 9months but with irregular cycles it was proving difficult. Within one treatment I was showing signs of ovulation at a regular point in my cycle! I then found out I was pregnant! I carried on treatment with Rachel and now 14wks a healthy baby is brewing. Rachel was a great help, with lots of advice. The treatments were really relaxing and it was always and enjoyable hour in Rachel’s capable hands.
