All the catholic churches i have visited are good but this one is the best. the first time i visited this church was on a sunday in march 2020. i heard mass at 8am. prayers and hymns; our father (pater noster), nicene creed (credo), glory to god in the highest (gloria in excelsis deo), lord have mercy (kyrie eleison), christ have mercy (christe eleison) and holy (sanctus); are chanted in latin during sunday mass. the priests are very kind, friendly, helpful and humble. jesus himself was humble. they always face the altar when they celebrate mass as priests used to do in the past. on christmas eve, mass was celebrated in latin. it was the first time in my life i heard mass in latin. however, the priest also translated what he said. it is also possible to hear mass by live streaming. i really feel the presence of god during mass. as a result, i have tears in my eyes during mass. it had never happened to me before. the atmosphere inside the church is good and pleasant. the church is beautiful inside as well as outside. it is also well lit by the sun in the morning. its location is excellent as it is located in the city centre.
I loved the place. its a very calm and quiet place .
Beautiful church,. filled with the very essence of all things catholic and thus christian. the wonderful, clergy, and laity of this oratory gave me the guidance and enlightenment needed to return to the faith. god bless the sacred heart church and it's flock .
Found this church dedicated to the sacred heart of jesus while exploring the bournemouth town during our short weekend stay. peaceful atmosphere and very welcoming towards visitors.
The church building is beautiful and conducive to prayer and meditation. the 8am mass was in the ordinary form, and said in a dignified and correct manner, without unauthorised or spontaneous changes to what's in the missal, and the sermon was appropriate to the gospel and epistle of the day, well prepared and well delivered.
