We have just completed our first set of scentwork classes. i had heard really great things about jodie, her passion for her job & all the dogs she works with. we were not disappointed. our dog evie absolutely loves the classes & we look forward to them too! jodie is calm, kind & compassionate & really understands dogs. we would highly recommend her.
Top dog trainer, understands your needs, very patient and understanding. all training done under positive reinforcement. jodie keeps up to date with the science behind dogs behaviour, so no old school habits. we have used jodie for life skills, hoopers and trick training, we have also had one to ones for building confidence in our dogs. she may not be super responsive but you have to understand she has waiting lists, enters competitions with her own dogs and has recently taken on a dog that needs help and support. we would use jodie all day long and if anyone asks we would put her contact details forward. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Jodie is highly qualified and educated in her field. i attended one of her "reactive dog" workshops recently. i really liked how jodie explained things in a way that helped me understand my dog better. i enjoyed learning useful techniques and being with a small group of people who understand the challenges! thank you.
We started out with a lot of no's from trainers and behaviourists due to discovering that my second puppy was deaf. jodie on the other hand, said hell yes. so despite the classes being over an hour away from me, i travel over 100 miles, every single week to train with my girl. we started with life skills, and moved swiftly onto trick training... and after having a session where my boy filled in due to siren being in season, he also excelled under the watchful eye of jodie. so we now have back to back classes with the two of them! i honestly, wouldn't travel this far weekly for any other trainer. no one else would accommodate for siren, or accept the challenge. now, siren at the age of 11mths old, is a trick puppy champion with over 23 titles to her name because of the confidence that jodie enabled me to have via her coaching. i now have the best puppy to show for it, despite the start being genuinely one of the darkest periods of my life. i was grieving the dog i thought i was going to get, and lost as to how to fix the behavioural issues that appeared due to her deafness. jodie never ran away or judged me, no matter what i confided in her. it does not matter if your dog is disabled, reactive, difficult, weird or overzealous. it does not matter if you are a complete beginner, or a seasoned trainer. jodie is there for you. jodie's guidance, acceptance, versatility, methods, positivity, enthusiasm and friendship is worth everything to me.
Every year i watch the agility competition at crufts and go 'i want to do that.' i struggled to find an agility club that was nearby and could accommodate me, so decided it was never meant to be. i continued to watch crufts on tv, still with that 'what if' in my mind. jodie found me through social media and i got the pleasure to meet her at a show a short while afterwards. she was easy to talk to and i become engaged in all of her educational blog posts. when she shared that she had a space to train agility on a friday afternoon (my only free time), i knew it was destiny to sign up! jodie trains with the achievable in mind, making training fun for both handler and dog. she teaches everybody in her groups at different paces, and you never feel like you're falling behind. everyone is treated with the same care, and i know jodie genuinely loves the dogs that come to her. i did a year of agility with my 12 year old rescue, then enrolled my norwegian buhund puppy in life skills and tricks classes. my buhund is now of age to do agility and jodie is helping me to train to competition level, all whilst being mindful of the limits of my dog. i highly recommend jodie to anyone whom is looking for any dog-related advice and activity.
