The Real Greek - Bournemouth

I love greek food, but this one was lacking in quality. we had 2 lunch sets, and neither was very good. the pork skewer was half fat, half chewy overcooked meat with 2 out of 5 meat pieces mostly inedible due to large cartilage. the chicken skewer was also overcooked and very dry to the point of getting hard. the sides were a bit disappointing as well: the mediterranean rice was mostly dry plain rice with a tiny bit of tomato sauce, rather than the rich tomato rice with tiny bits of veg i'm used to from greek restaurants elsewhere. the boiled wheat had a better ratio of sauce and small onion pieces, but nothing standout flavour wise. honestly we enjoyed the flatbread and dips the most, but you get that with better quality meat in even cheap takeout greeks here, so we won't come back. also note that the doors to the restaurant stand open before opening hours, so we were asked to leave again and come back after noon (we tried to go in at 11:47). on a good note, the restaurant as well as the toilets were very clean and the dining area spacious.

Really affordable lunch menu and everything tasted amazing! chicken skewers with fries for the main and flatbread with tzatziki and a feta spiced dip that i can’t remember the name of! really good overall for an affordable but tasty lunch out.

Loved this place! we visited on our last day in bournemouth and its fair to say we went out with a bang! service was second to none, staff very friendly and accommodating, location ideal and food fantastic! the restaurant has lighted, heated, covered balcony seating with a beautiful view. very clean venue. the prices are in line with what you would expect but worth it. the thing i liked the most is that they accept groupon voucers, and unlike some places, do not look down at you for it and treat you with the same professional hospitality as any other customer. highly recommend and will be returning on next visit to bournemouth.

Set lunch was £9.5 for a person it’s reasonable price. the chips is crispy and the flatbread i like it. the rice was cold and tasteless.

Had an amazing lunch here on a beautifully sunny monday afternoon. the food options were amazing and it all was incredibly well-presented as well as tasting delicious. the waitress was so helpful and the whole place has a feel-good vibe. thoroughly recommended 👌🏼
