What an incredible place! the staff really treated me with respect, i felt listen to and they went above and beyond throughout my three month stay at allington house. i was extremely impressed with the individualised treatment and care i received. this helped me to understand what my personal blocks to recovery where. i feel like they brought me back from the gates of hell and i will be forever grateful to all the staff at allington house. i now have the self belief that my life does not have to be dictated by addiction, i have been able to rebuild my relationships and i have remained sober since leaving treatment. thank you. ollie.
Streetscene really has got the addiction treatment scenario well covered. having been in the business for 25 years is a reassuring factor of choice. my stay at allington house was life-changing, from detox to connection with a higher power (something i was sure i’d never discover again). the counsellors were remarkable, able to pick up on the slightest clues and delve deep into what is actually wrong with a particular client, at a particular time on a particular day – something that changes constantly for addicts. the service staff and volunteers work relentlessly, behind the scenes for the main, to ensure all client needs are met and some, like mine, are quite complex. i will be forever grateful for my time here. streetscene and everyone involved with it are truly amazing. thank you 👍🏻😃
Even though i was a total pain in the butt( to say the least) when i got there the staff were amazing, patient and understanding of the underlying reasons for my behaviour. when i finally realised i needed the help my time and funding were up but even though it cost them they actually let me stay longer! these people are amazing and i will be forever grateful for their help and kindness. the only thing i that lets their amazing work down and i can't blame them is unity (supported housing) after you leave and to me it's more about the money than the help, because it's far from easy when you leave and the staff ( when i was there)are not at all what you need when you're at such a vunrable stage of your recovery and people skills are needed rather than the feeling of the money being more important than the people. hopefully they have new staff in unity now. alington staff however are truly amazing people and actually want to help people get clean and stay clean. thank you to everyone there x
I can never thank streetscene enough. almost everything that is good in my life today started with my journey through cornerways and streetscene. they have given me the tools which have literally helped to save my life and point me toward the right path. for that alone i will be eternally grateful. even when i let them down, they did not let me down. i won't say it was easy, but then nothing worthwhile ever is. it was so worth it. thanks you guys ❤
I entered allington house in 2021, which was a life-changing experience. streetscene provided a safe place to begin my recovery journey. the structure of each day across the week is fantastic and has helped me rekindle my zest for life and the power of emotional freedom. i couldn’t be more grateful to the team who made my stay an unforgettable experience. i recommend streetscene to those who have found themselves lost in addiction and are looking for a treatment centre that provides care, patience, compassion, knowledge, understanding and support.
