I do not own a dog, but be warned this is a favourite destination for dog walkers with dogs in large numbers. I come for the scenery, the big sky and a feel of being in the countryside with wild flowers, grasses, deciduous trees and flocks …

The place for dog walking when it's wet. Good path so it's the only place where you don't need wellies. Most dogs friendly and off lead so they get a good run. Plenty of space in the car park at all times.

There was plenty of free parking available when we visited. We will return in drier weather, to walk the trails again, when we will be able to access more areas. Just be aware that if you use a navigation system to guide you in, then it …
