Drake's Fisheries

An overall nice fish and chip shop with friendly staff and quick service. Food poritions are not as big as expected but I would still recommend buying from here. The prices are decent with quite a large menu and the location is nice for locals. Take out only.

Updated 09/05/23 Two lads serving on one of whom I guess was the fryer but disappeared mid fry and the serving lad finished off the fish and chips. The quality of which was less than the previous standard. It seems the blond haired girl fryer outshone these two lads by quite some distance with regard to frying to perfection. So if you are buying fish and chips from Drakes fish shop 5 Lane Ends. Make sure you go on the days when the girls are frying as they make a remarkable difference. One might say it's a womans touch. Well I agree wholeheartedly. Pleasantly surprised. Chips small but were done to my liking. Fish a good size. A little more work on the batter I thought but all in all very nice. So much better than the previous Drakes. Thank you very much 👏😋

Normally OK but this week the scollops were very thin and hardly any batter OK so they were hard. Also one of the orders were not wrapped up very well, all spilt out int the bag whilst driving home, I think it's because they have somebody new serving on. Not been watched over.
