Bab Tooma Grande

First time coming and I must say, food didn’t disappoint. Great quality food. Really enjoyed. They gave complimentary soup (lentil soup) which was a nice warming start. Got the halloumi fatayer which was delicious. Ordered the lemon and mint drink which was a highly recommended option on the menu - was really refreshing. Mains we got the sujuk shawarma (just overall amazing quality meat) and the grill side option which was choosing 2 options from the grill along with a side (either rice, chips or arabic bread). We got the lamb chops and shish taouk (chicken cubes) with a side of bread. The lamb chops were so good and a large portion for sure (double the size of the usual asian style restaurant style lamb chops). Even the fat on the lamb chop was nice and I usually hate that part! The kunafa was one of the best I’ve had but the baklava was just mediocre, nothing special. Arabic tea pot to finish it all off. Would’ve been 5 stars but the customer service was awful!!! They’re all kids and chatting away in the back, nowhere to be seen. Do they expect me to shout across a busy restaurant asking for service????! They really need to be attentive to customers whilst having their food. I was waiting on 3 occasions - staring down the waitress laughing away with her co-workers, just to get her attention. Really peed me off to be honest - had to end up walking to the front twice. Great place to eat with family but they really need to TRAIN THEIR WAITERS/WAITRESSES. Will be coming again in the future. Paid £62 for all you see.

Highly recommend this place. The service was amazing. The quality of food was excellent. especially the lamb shop was so delicious that it can't explain. Definitely call back again.

Came here twice and always love it and definitely will be coming more! An amazing atmosphere and setting, delicious, tasty and filling food. So much variety! Loved their platters and their fresh tea and especially their desserts. Also, came here with family and it’s perfect as you can book online beforehand which I find great. The service is brilliant and the staff are great. Would recommend this restaurant this to everyone!!! One of my favourites now!!

It was my wife's bday n we went for a meal but her order/food was served cold and when advised this to the waiter they have simply warmed it up in microwave rather than replacing with fresh and hot food. My wife did not like the taste of it, and did not eat it, as after warming it in microwave with all the sauces that were already in the food when served it tasted really off-putting and still we got charged for it which when complained one more time was given a 10% discount on. Its worth mentioning that my order/food was cold too but they gave me some extra hot rice in a plate which is appreciated. I have noted that food itself was tasty and full of flavours. Overall the experience was clumsy as it did not go as was planned.

The staff are great and we were treated very well! For a place that should do good falafel, this isn't it. The potatoes and dips were great and the atmosphere is also very nice.
