I was a client of the bridge project for over ten years & think the service is literally second to none! I moved to Manchester 12yrs ago & i expected drug services to be similar countrywide - how wrong I was! In my experience the bridge project offers many more services than any other I've accessed. I was so shocked when I saw how lacking other services are when compared to the bridge. I did classes there, used the needle exchange and had 1 to 1 counselling alongside receiving my methodone prescription. I used to get acupuncture done , reiki , hypnotherapy, Bach flower remedies as well as accessing their gym! My favourite night was the lady's night where they'd have pizzas delivered whilst someone did your nails - it really was nice. The staff were really friendly & didn't look down on you ( If you know what I mean!) and I'm really looking forward to coming back , hopefully with a long term view of volunteering there one day . I couldn't recommend the bridge project highly enough !
