Nags Head Brentwood

Go back in time with this beautiful pub on the corner. Low ceilings, exposed wood frames, low light ambience, outdoor seating and a large car park.

First of all, thank you to Tadhg at the door who managed to sqeeze us in at shot notice. He was a great host to walk into! Emily & Grace who took our orders were lovely and welcoming. A few suggestions for diners- Pork belly bao bun = Amazing Fries = Very moreish, huge hit on our table! Lamb Rump Main (medium done) = Perfection A couple of negatives were that the Baked Camembert was not cooked enough therefore cheese was solidifying quickly and the gravy the came with the kids meal was like a pot of oil (We laughed because we actually thought it may have been a mistake). All in all, the meal was great and everyones tummies were well and truly satisfied!

Me and my fiance have eaten here twice now, we had a steak meal the first time, and the food was 10/10. Our second visit was Valentines Day, where the food again was exceptional but very slow service and had to ask for everything, slightly disappointing. The pub itself has a warm cosy feel and large car park if needed. If you're not in a rush, I would definitely recommend it.

I wasn't sure what to expect but as soon as we sat down, we were greeted by the very friendly and welcoming manager, who explained to order at the bar. The food arrived quickly and was delicious! We ordered the calamari to start which was lovely and crispy. Also the breadcrumbed brie which was excellent. The mains of pork belly, burger and nourish bowl were excellent and tasty! The chocolate brownie and chocolate bomb were delicious desserts. All in all we had a great experience and will definitely be going back.

I was en route to the airport, extremely hungry, and I'm glad I found this place on the way. The decor is cozy, the service is unobtrusive and the food is tasty. I left here satisfied!
